The School of Public Health's Center for Public Health Systems found that  22% of of governmental public health workers hold a public health degree, but younger members of the public health workforce are more likely to have formal public health training.

Traci Mann, professor in the College of Liberal Arts, found that mindless tasks, such as watching TV or scrolling social media, tend to increase food intake compared to distractions that require more active mental effort.

Nichole Morris, director of the Human Factors Safety Laboratory in the College of Science and Engineering, studies whether the physical complexity of a J-turn “scares” drivers into taking over the wheel, or if the decision is rooted in something deeper.
